A work to commemmorate a wedding anniversary for a special couple ….

‘Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm.
But how can one keep warm alone?
Though one may be overpowered.
Two can defend themselves.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.’
(Ecclesiastes, 4:11-12)

The links they share form an arc,
found besides Portland’s green
hills and shallows as paths gave way,
yielding to a journey set far

 …a-cross….

 from a river, Salmon Falls,
She manages the two – antsy - in tow.
Timecard punched, he waves uphill -
Hermit, a place bound for GE groups

 …all….

passed on Durham’s old Jackson -
A new Landing, securing a chapter’s Dream.
Far more a build than a restore –
two yankees left New England an

 …offering….

For the lead and his unshakeable support –
A chance to step south, to the trees of Hickory,
Past the banks of the Red. Back north and
After passing Chagrin, two selves were home

…again…

with no stopping, no matter the station – as he
navigated corporate GE she touched neighbor,
and with Catholic rosary, more.  Faith,
our strong tower seeking not to waiver,  rather

….to…..

occasion time for Siesta, the Key,
even sometimes the nap.  A galvanized
lamppost’s end only the beginning, starting at
Crystal Sands, we – my sister and I could

…teach…

So much that we learned along the way,
blessed were we all. Maine never far away,
now found at the cove in the Cape,
the lector and the painter, sailing mates too….
